[Vogue Italia]-Sweet Tokyo

The Cosplay mood has even contaminated the king of greige. Last spring Giorgio Armani amazed his beauty fans by launching Tokyo Corals, a make-up collection in bold fluo colours.

As if even Armani admits that jap-style has become a macro-trend. And the make-up code is of course based on the Yamanbas, girls who try to look like their manga heroines.
With bright orange or hot pink hair, multicoloured eyeliner, fake lashes in Shu Uemura's Tokyo Lash Bar style and flashy eyes with micro-powders in strong colours applied to eyelids and more: to underline their cartoon look these girls use eye shadows like L'Orèal's Forever Pink Infallible Color on their cheekbones, like a kind of neon blush!

On their lips the jap-girls wear stabilo-like lipstick and glossy fluo colours like J-Pop vinyl, such as Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss.
In perfect harmony with their manicures: Chanel's new Riva blue cult nail polish, acid green or lilac, better yet if it's as long-lasting as Pupa's Lasting Color.
