Barneys New York is a chain of luxury department stores with its headquarters located right in the heart of New York city.
The larger stores are mainly located in New york, Los Angeles, Boston, Chicago, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Seattle, Dallas and the smaller stores can be found in other locations across the U.S.
Many of you may already know of or at least have already heard the name before, but in case you haven`t Barneys New york has tons of unique, glamorous, and famous name brands.
Barneys New york is known for
1) Designer brands/Haute Couture,
2) Its own Store Label (Co-op:by its own designer`s product) brands,
3) Emerging designer`s Brands. / Clothes and accessories.
The brands you can find include; Philp Lim, Givency, Jil Sander, Bottega Veneta, Christian Louboutin, Manolo Blahnik, Marc Jacobs, Proenza Schouler, Rick Owens, Alexander Wang, Balenciaga, Prada....etc.
Last year I had the pleasure of visiting a few different stores, located in Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Seattle. Even though Barneys is large chain, I noticed that each one that I visited throughout the different cities had its own style, atmosphere and vibe.
When I visited Barneys New York for the first time the most impressive part was the visual merchandising which was placed cleverly throughout the store.
Visual displays were located both in the store and outside and were all very unique, creative and even humorous. This also gave the feeling of being in an art museum because of the Pop-Art that was used throughout the store combined with the feeling of elegance and sensuality which was always present.
Needless to say, Barneys carries high quality merchandise.
So, if you have a chance to travel to America you should visit a location near you.
You will find that the stores are vast with such a lot of variety and unique selections for both window shopper and shop-a-holic to keep the busy all day.
